Sports Illustrated has officially launched their application for Blackberry. Powered by Polar Mobile it has plenty of user customizable options available and best of all it's totally free from what I can tell.

OPERA Mini 5 Coming Soon To Blackberry

Opera mini has taken a backseat for quite some time now with Bolt and Skyfire browsers. But for the past couple of days Opera has been tearing this piece of a puzzle each day on their site and it seems that a new Opera Mini is coming sooner than later. Let's all hope that it'll be on it's way to Blackberry because it's still the favorite browser for most Blackberry users.

Visible Vote has been updated with new features that I think you guys will appreciate. Visible Vote is the ultimate democracy tool for you and your Blackberry. It allows you to write congress personal letters from your Blackberry, as well as vote on issues your legislators are voting on.

Here are the 2 new features have been added to the application:

1. Twitter Integration, it takes you directly to Legislators Twitter pages if they have one.
2. State Vote Tallies that lets you view the vote tallies for each state inside the bills.

Twixtreme A New Twitter App For Your Blackberry

There is a new Twitter client in town . Twixtreme is pitching themselves as the free Twitter client that does not suck. Not sure yet if I can agree with them but it does look good and it works on OS 4.2.1+.

MyBlackberry was launched some time ago, but was never made available to everyone. But at long last you can now sign up and it's now available to the general public.

Gmail Plugin Now Available For Blackberry

We've been hearing for a while now that RIM was working on a plugin for Gmail users that was going to bring a bunch of additional features when it came to handling Gmail on your BlackBerry. Finally, it is now available for all users to download. The new plug includes some great new features for Gmail users such as:

  • Add and remove labels and stars on email messages
  • Report spam email messages
  • Perform local and remote searches
  • Archive email messages
  • View related email messages as a single conversation (threaded view)

In order to get the download link if you already have a gmail account set up on your BlackBerry you will need to delete and re-add your account and a PIN message will be sent to you with the link. The enhanced plugin is available for all device 4.5 OS+ and the official BlackBerry forums has a great getting started guide available. TWITVID Now Available On AppWorld

TwitVid have launched their application in App World today, giving users yet another means with which to send video to Twitter. Currently, the service is available in UberTwitter, a free Twitter client for BlackBerry.

DataBackUp Beta Free For Blackberry

S4BB have launched a free beta of their app DataBackup. This app lets you backup your personal data on your BlackBerry to the SD card. The app also lets you restore the data back to the device’s internal memory.

This app supports almost all BlackBerry devices, but make sure you’re running OS 4.1 or higher.

Flash And Silverlight On Its Way To Your Blackberry

BGR pretty much confirmed the word that RIM may soon be integrating both Flash and Silverlight on BlackBerry devices. Flash is one of the most sought after features, and the inclusion would surely make for loads of happy campers. I guess its something else to look forward to because no definite word on the realease date or any solid details yet.
